I found these cute little knobs at Anthropologie's home sale last week that matched her rug perfectly.

Just a little something to change it up and add some more color to her room.

Now that I am done with my mostly DIY nursery, all crafts are listed below with links.

All pretty easy, most very easy.

I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out and my budget.  Do I look at it and think it's ahhhmazing?  No, but it captures the colors, the softness and the uniqueness I was going for.  At this point I'm just excited to put a baby in there.

I can incorporate a variety of colors since I am not one to stick with a two tone pallet.  I can add more mature items and take away the baby items as she grows.

But most importantly, I feel warm and sweet when sitting in there.  Hopefully she will feel too.

Baby Girl Nursery Reveal

It's finally done.

All the pieces are put up, cleaned, put together and semi straightened up after my son's daily tear through.

There's one hoop art missing that "was dropped" behind the changing table and I see my little 2 year old untied the bows on the bumper but you get the idea.

I love it.

Just a few pieces to get her started this summer.

Monday was a slow day around the house.

I've been waiting for someone to help me decide how all the all art should be hung but I always get lazy and never do it.

I was tired of looking at it on the floor so I just went with it, took out a pencil for even measurements and hanging and hoped for the best.

After all, my husband can always spackle over the holes if they needed to be redone, right?

I decided the hoop art and yarn letter would be over the changing table.  (Craft tutorial here and here)

This is probably what made me stall the most but I finally just arranged them on the ground and went for it on the wall.

The crib definitely needed something above it and I wasn't going to put a shelf that could fall.

                                  

I loved all my Valentine's Day cards but this one from my Aunt in Scottsdale was the perfect picture of love, warmth, colors and happiness.  I love the 3D gumball machine with hearts flowing out.  So I thought I would frame it and hang it somewhere.  Then I got the idea to get two more and make a little picture collage.

I ransacked the left over Vday cards at Target to find matching cards along with our other received cards and two perfect matches were found.

I decided on three separate frames instead of one - three frame frame.  They can also be changed out in the future with other colors, cards or pictures.

I was very nervous about hanging these straight with out any help.  Excuse me, I had a two year old really trying to help.  But I think we all know how "helpful" that was.  I was pretty surprised that I got them rather straight and aligned.

 

I bought these picture hanging hooks at BBB and they are awesome.  They are easy to nail in, easy to take out (had to do that a few times) and aren't supposed to harm your walls.

{Craft Corner} Curtain Tie Backs

I finally got around to finishing the curtains for the nursery.



The length is still questionable but I knew I needed to make or buy some type of tie back to keep the curtains open.

A few different tutorials on Pinterest and Google and I went the easy way.  There are many, many options.

I cut four pieces of fabric (a little short) by guestimating.

                          

Then hemmed all sides.

                       

I added two plastic circles per tie back on the top opposite corners.  

I found them at JoAnns.

Added the same piped ribbon design as the curtains.

I used the hook screws that I bought for the bow frame holder and screwed them into the wall.

I found it easiest to nail a little into the wall then screw by hand with some arm muscle.  

I just need to paint the screws which you can do before or after you put them in the wall.

Pretty easy.

{Craft Corner} Yarn Wrapped Letter Decor

This looked a lot easier than it actually was.

Not that it is difficult, I just was annoyed with the uneven wrapping and burning of my fingers.

I think the shape of the letter matters.  I'm not thrilled with it and I need to figure out how to cover the bald spots and find a fun embellishment, but it's ok.

You could do this for any letter, shape, boy, girl, family, party decor.

Materials
Wooden Letter
Variety of coordinating yarn colors
Hot glue gun and glue

Start at one end and glue to the back.

Start wrapping tightly around the letter, glueing on the back every now and then to keep straight and tight.

1/3 way up, start with a new color repeating the previous steps.

1/3 left, start with final color.  Repeat steps.

Add embellishments or not.  (Still need to do this)
