The Houston Holiday

It was so nice coming back to Houston for the last week of our trip.

We had a wonderful Christmas evening at Steph's and the kids were even more spoiled by more gifts.

Mom made one of my favorite dishes and delicious pecan and pumpkin pies.

 First visit to True Foods.  YUM!!!!

Quick visit with my college roomies and their kids.  How sweet are they?!

Finally got to meet Davis.  So cute.  Excuse the wine glass.

Spent one evening at Steph's and she made soup dumplings.  Amazing!

Emily is finally big enough to fit in this gorgeous cape Steph bought years ago.

It wouldn't be a trip with out going to the Children's museum.  May be my favorite visit yet.

Evan just loves it and we always love going with my mom who knows all the ins and outs.

I love a good play grocery store.

We didn't make it to Santa this year but the Grinch was a huge hit!

Last dinner at Adair Kitchen.  That jalapeño margarita is my all time favorite.

Sue gave us two of the most special gifts in remembrance of my father.  Really amazing photos and memories I will cherish forever.  And a really awesome scarf that I can not wait to wear...just wait.

It's no secret that my dad loved to make Christmas lunch and was responsible for most of the cooking.  It is a lot to do and with out skipping a beat, Sue did it all.  She didn't have to but she did and it was amazing.  I am so grateful that she hosted and we were able to be a part of helping her that morning and extremely appreciative to those that stayed to help her clean up.  So much work and such a special day.  I know it wasn't easy for anyone.  Physically, but especially emotionally.
